Product description
The Horizon Bed is a Japanese joinery-inspired platform bed in clear acrylic, conceived for interiors that value light, restraint, and clean horizontal lines. The interlocking design is intended to create the impression of a floating mattress while the low profile keeps the room open and grounded. The aim is a bed that reads as architecture more than furniture.
The design calls for premium clear acrylic with polished edges and precision-cut joints that fit together in the spirit of traditional sashimono cabinetry. Because the frame is built from individual panels rather than a single bonded form, it is intended to ship in relatively flat panels and assemble in the room, which helps protect the clarity of the acrylic in transit and eases placement in apartments, lofts, and upper-floor bedrooms where moving a finished frame is difficult. Discreet hardware is used at the primary load points to support the structure.
The transparent frame lets rugs, flooring, and wall treatments carry through uninterrupted, suiting minimalist bedrooms, high-rise condos, beach houses, and modern townhouses. Because it adds little visual weight, it pairs easily with bold bedding, natural linens, or a quiet neutral palette without competing for attention.
The Horizon Bed is offered with or without a headboard, and is planned for Twin, Full, Queen, King, and California King, along with custom dimensions for specific layouts. Acrylic thickness, platform height, headboard treatment, and tinted, frosted, or laminated finishes can all be specified as part of your order and are confirmed before fabrication. Each bed is made to order in the USA.
Acrylic is straightforward to maintain. The surface cleans with a non-abrasive cleaner and a microfiber cloth, and minor surface scratches can be polished out to restore clarity. Our acrylic is selected for its optical clarity and resistance to yellowing over time.
For a bedroom that feels both minimal and considered, the Horizon Bed is intended to offer the presence of a sculptural centerpiece with the calm of Japanese design, configured to your space and built to order.
