Why the Owners of Plexi-Craft Deliver Furniture Themselves

You probably wouldn’t expect the person delivering your custom lucite coffee table to also be the one who designed it. But for me, it’s not unusual.

Over the last ten years, I’ve personally delivered hundreds of Plexi-Craft pieces — not just as a delivery guy, but as an owner of the company.

A Personal Touch That Sets Us Apart

Whenever I’d show up at a customer’s door, I’d often hear the same question:

“Do you work for Plexi-Craft?”

And I’d smile and say, “I own the company.”

Those conversations taught me more about our customers than any survey could. Delivering pieces myself has allowed me to hear real-time feedback, see firsthand how our work fits into people’s homes, and stay connected to what truly matters: the customer experience. That direct relationship is something you can’t replicate from behind a desk.

Family-Owned, Customer-Focused

Today, Plexi-Craft is a family-owned business with over 60 years of heritage and locations in both New York City and Chicago. But that hands-on, personal approach hasn’t changed.

My business partner, Scott Gordon, who leads our Chicago studio and owns Brilliant Acrylic Designs, believes in the same thing. He’s made a few white-glove deliveries himself. When you care about the work the way we do, it’s hard to hand it off entirely.

That philosophy runs through everything we do — from the way our artisans hand-polish every edge, to the way we work directly with designers and architects from sketch to final piece.

More Than Furniture — It’s a Relationship

At Plexi-Craft, we’re not just fabricating lucite furniture. We’re building lasting relationships, one custom piece at a time. Every table, every display case, every one-of-a-kind commission carries the same standard of care whether it’s going to a Manhattan penthouse or a coastal home in the Hamptons.

That’s what 60 years of family ownership looks like in practice.
